Gun Safes

The British Home Office recommends that new gun cabinets should conform to BS7558/92 - a British Standard outlining the requirements for the construction and security of cabinets intended for the secure storage of firearms and ammunition.

According to this standard guns and rifles must be stored in a locked gun safe that is “deemed not easily penetrable”, which is made of steel and securely fixed to the wall or the floor. All Ultimate Safe® gun safes meet this standard and are tested for security, strength and durability.

Each of our safes meets these two main requirements:

1. The material it is made from. All Ultimate Safe® gun safes are not only made from high-grade steel but are 25% thicker than required by UK regulations, i.e. 2.5mm vs 2mm thick.
2. The gun safe lock. All Ultimate Safe® gun safes are supplied with unique Triple Blade Lock® mechanisms - they provide improved security over the standard locks available on the market by significantly increasing the force that would be necessary to break into the shotgun cabinet.

Safety experts recommend that all ammunition be stored in a separate lockable container - this can be an integrated box with a separate lock that is part of your gun cabinet, or it can be а standalone ammunition safe. • Gun Cabinets - different sizes according to the number of shotguns or rifles you will be storing. Most models come with an internal lockable ammunition security box.
• Ammunition Safes - choose these when your ammunition storage needs exceed the capacity of the internal gun cabinet storage boxes, or you wish to store your ammunition or / and pistols separately.
